Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Bourbon Sauce

In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine bourbon, brown sugar, soy sauce, ketchup, garlic powder, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally until thickened. Remove from heat and set aside.

  2. 2

    Cook the Burgers

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Form the ground beef into 4 equal patties and season with salt and pepper. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired doneness.

  3. 3

    Add Cheese and Sauce

In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover to melt. Brush the bourbon sauce over the patties during the last minute of cooking.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Burgers

Toast the brioche buns on the grill or in a skillet. Place each bourbon-glazed patty on a bun, top with onion rings, and drizzle extra bourbon sauce if desired. Serve immediately.
