Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from skillet and drain on paper towels.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Bread

While the bacon is cooking, take two slices of white bread and spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on one side of each slice. On the opposite side, spread 1 teaspoon of mustard on one slice.

Assemble the Turkey Melt

  1. 3

    Layer the Ingredients

On the mustard side of the bread, layer the roast turkey evenly. Place the cooked bacon on top of the turkey, followed by the slices of provolone cheese.

  2. 4

    Add Optional Ingredients

If using, add a leaf of lettuce and slices of tomato on top of the cheese.

Grill the Sandwich

  1. 5

    Heat the Skillet

In the same skillet used for the bacon, place the sandwich with the mayonnaise side facing down. Cook over medium heat for about 3-4 minutes or until the bread is golden brown.

  2. 6

    Flip and Finish Cooking

Carefully flip the sandwich and cook for another 3-4 minutes, allowing the cheese to melt and the other side of the bread to become golden brown.

Serve

  1. 7

    Slice and Serve

Remove the sandwich from the skillet, slice it in half if desired, and serve hot.
