Method
Prepare the Burger Patty
- 1
Mix the Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- 2
Form the Patties
Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into burger patties, about 3/4 inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.
Cook the Burger

- 4
Grill the Patties
Place the burger patties on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the patties, then place a slice of Swiss cheese on top of each patty.
- 5
Cook Until Done
Continue grilling for another 4-5 minutes or until the internal temperature of the patties reaches 160°F (71°C) and the cheese is melted.
Prepare the Sautéed Mushrooms
- 6
Assemble the Burger
- 7
Toast the Buns
Optional: Place the burger buns on the grill for about 1-2 minutes until lightly toasted.
- 8
Build the Burger
On the bottom half of each toasted bun, layer lettuce, a cooked burger patty topped with melted Swiss cheese, sautéed mushrooms, and a slice of tomato.
- 9
Add Condiments
Spread mayonnaise and ketchup on the top half of the bun, then place it on top of the assembled burger.
