Method

Marinating the Chicken

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a mixing bowl, combine the lemon juice, olive oil, black pepper, garlic powder, salt, lemon zest, and dried thyme. Whisk the ingredients together until well blended.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Chicken

Place the boneless chicken breasts in a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring that each piece is well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish with plastic wrap. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or up to 4 hours for more flavor.

Grilling the Chicken

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If using a charcoal grill, prepare the coals until they are covered with white ash.

  2. 4

    Grill the Chicken

Remove the chicken from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off. Place the chicken on the preheated grill. Grill for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) and the chicken is cooked through.

  3. 5

    Rest the Chicken

Once cooked, remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute for a juicier chicken.
