Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Rib-eye
Remove the rib-eye steak from the refrigerator and allow it to come to room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking. This helps in achieving an even cook.
- 2
Grilling
- 3
Preheat the Grill
Preheat your grill to high heat (about 450°F to 500°F). Ensure the grates are clean and lightly oiled.
- 4
- 5
Add Garnish (optional)
In the last minute of cooking, add a sprig of fresh rosemary and a tablespoon of butter on top of the steak to infuse flavor.
Resting
- 6
Rest the Steak
Once cooked to your preference, remove the rib-eye from the grill and let it rest on a cutting board for at least 5 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute.
Serving
- 7
Slice and Serve
After resting, slice the rib-eye against the grain and serve immediately. Enjoy your hand-cut grilled rib-eye!
