Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Au Jus

In a medium-sized saucepan, combine the beef broth, sliced onion, minced garlic, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, and salt. Stir well to combine.

  2. 2

    Simmer the Au Jus

Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 15 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.

Assemble the French Dip

  1. 3

    Prepare the Rolls

While the Au Jus is simmering, slice the French rolls in half lengthwise. You can lightly toast them in the oven if desired.

  2. 4

    Layer the Roast Beef

Once the Au Jus has simmered, remove it from the heat. In each roll, layer a generous portion of the sliced roast beef.

  3. 5

    Serve with Au Jus

Serve the assembled French dip sandwiches with a small bowl of the Au Jus on the side for dipping.
