Method

Main Course

  1. 1

    Prepare the Turkey

Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C). Remove the turkey giblets and rinse the turkey inside and out. Pat it dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Season the Turkey

Rub the turkey inside and out with salt, black pepper, and butter. Stuff the cavity with fresh rosemary, sage, and thyme.

  3. 3

    Roast the Turkey

Place the turkey breast side up on a rack in a roasting pan. Roast for about 13 minutes per pound or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).

  4. 4

    Rest the Turkey

Remove the turkey from the oven and let it rest for at least 20 minutes before carving.

Stuffing

  1. 5

    Prepare the Vegetables

In a skillet, heat a bit of olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced celery and onion and sauté until softened, about 5-7 minutes.

  2. 6

    Combine Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the bread cubes, sautéed vegetables, chicken broth, dried cranberries, sage, thyme, salt, pepper, and beaten egg. Mix until well combined.

  3. 7

    Bake the Stuffing

Transfer the stuffing to a greased baking dish and cover it with foil. Bake in the oven for the last hour of the turkey cooking time.

Sides

  1. 8

    Prepare the Green Beans

Toss the trimmed green beans with olive oil, minced garlic, and salt. Spread them on a baking sheet.

  2. 9

    Roast the Green Beans

Roast the green beans in the oven for about 20-25 minutes until tender and slightly charred.

  3. 10

    Prepare the Mashed Potatoes

Boil peeled potatoes until fork-tender. Drain and mash them with milk and butter until smooth and creamy.

Dessert

  1. 11

    Prepare the Pumpkin Filling

In a large bowl, combine pumpkin puree, sugar, eggs, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and evaporated milk. Mix until smooth.

  2. 12

    Fill the Pie Crust

Pour the pumpkin filling into the pie crust and smooth the top.

  3. 13

    Bake the Pie

Bake in a preheated oven at 425°F (220°C) for 15 minutes, then lower the temperature to 350°F (175°C) and continue baking for 40-50 minutes until set.

  4. 14

    Cool and Serve

Allow the pie to cool before slicing and serving.
