Brew the Tea

Boil Water
In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over medium-high heat.

Steep Tea
Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add 4 black tea bags. Allow to steep for 5-7 minutes, depending on desired strength.

Remove Tea Bags
After steeping, carefully remove the tea bags from the saucepan. If you prefer sweetened tea, add granulated sugar or honey now while the tea is still warm, and stir until dissolved.
Cool the Tea

Allow the brewed tea to cool to room temperature, then transfer to a pitcher and refrigerate until chilled, approximately 1-2 hours.
Serve the Iced Tea

Prepare Glasses
Fill each serving glass with ice cubes (about 1 cup per glass).
