Pink Slush Base

Method

Prepare Pink Slush

  1. 1

    Mix base

In a blender, add 1 scoop of the pink powdered mixer (Alani Nu Pink Drink or similar), 1 cup frozen watermelon chunks, 60 ml coconut cream or coconut water, and 1 cup ice cubes.

  2. 2

If you prefer a slightly sweeter drink, add 1 teaspoon of agave or simple syrup to the blender now.

  3. 3

Blend on high until the mixture is smooth and slush-like. Pause and scrape down the sides once if needed to ensure even blending.

  4. 4

Pour the blended slush into a tall chilled glass, filling it about 3/4 full.

Finish & Serve

  1. 5

Top the slush with 120 ml cold sparkling water. Pour slowly over the back of a spoon or down the inside of the glass to preserve some texture and create a gentle fizz.

  2. 6

Add a splash (about 30 ml) of oat milk on top — this will create a pale, creamy float that swirls through the pink slush.

  3. 7

Garnish with an optional fresh watermelon wedge and a sprig of mint on the rim. Serve with a straw and a long spoon.

  4. 8

Stir lightly before drinking if you prefer a uniform texture, or leave layered for a pretty presentation.
