Pickled Vegetable Ingredients

Method

Pickling Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Vegetables

Wash and slice the carrots, cucumbers, radishes, and red onion into thin strips or rounds. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Make the Pickling Liquid

In a medium saucepan, combine the white vinegar, water, sugar, salt, black peppercorns, mustard seeds, and red chili flakes. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring until the sugar and salt dissolve.

  3. 3

    Pack the Vegetables

In sterilized jars, layer the sliced vegetables and garlic cloves. You can pack them tightly to maximize space.

  4. 4

    Pour the Brine

Carefully pour the hot pickling liquid over the packed vegetables in the jars, ensuring they are fully submerged. Leave a little space at the top of the jars.

  5. 5

    Add Fresh Dill

Top each jar with fresh dill to taste.

  6. 6

    Seal and Cool

Seal the jars with lids and allow them to cool to room temperature. Once cooled, refrigerate the pickled vegetables.

  7. 7

    Marinating Time

Let the vegetables pickle in the refrigerator for at least 24 hours before consuming for the best flavor.
