Ribs and Marinade
Method
Preparation and Cooking
- 1
Prepare the Rub
In a bowl, combine brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
- 2
Prepare the Ribs
Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs. Rub olive oil over the ribs, then generously apply the spice rub all over the ribs.
- 3
Marinate
Wrap the ribs in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.
- 4
Preheat the Smoker
Soak cherry and hickory wood chips in water for at least 30 minutes. Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C).
- 5
Smoke the Ribs
Place the ribs in the smoker. Add the soaked wood chips to the smoker box or directly on the coals. Smoke the ribs for about 3-4 hours, spritzing with a mixture of apple cider vinegar and honey every hour.
