Meatballs

Method

Preparation and Cooking

  1. 1

    Make the Meatball Mixture

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

  2. 2

    Form the Meatballs

Using your hands, shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  3. 3

    Cook the Meatballs

Heat a skillet over medium heat and add olive oil. Once hot, add the meatballs in batches, cooking until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Sunday Gravy

In the same skillet, add more olive oil if needed, then add your favorite marinara sauce. Bring to a simmer and add the meatballs. Cook in the sauce for 30 minutes on low heat.

  5. 5

    Serve

Serve the meatballs with the Sunday gravy and sprinkle with extra Parmesan cheese.
