Sorbet Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Blackberry Mixture

In a blender, combine the fresh blackberries, sugar, lemon juice, and water. Blend until smooth.

  2. 2

    Strain the Mixture

Pour the blended mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a bowl to remove the seeds. Use a spatula to press down and extract as much liquid as possible.

  3. 3

    Chill the Mixture

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the blackberry mixture for at least 1 hour, or until thoroughly chilled.

  4. 4

    Churn the Sorbet

Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.

  5. 5

    Freeze the Sorbet

Transfer the sorbet to an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours, or until firm.

  6. 6

    Serve and Enjoy

Scoop the sorbet into bowls and enjoy. Optionally, garnish with candied ginger for added flavor.
