Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Waffle Batter
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, whisk together the sourdough starter, milk, eggs, and melted butter. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Gently fold in the fresh blueberries.
- 2
Preheat the Waffle Iron
Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- 3
Cook the Waffles
Lightly grease the waffle iron with cooking spray or butter. Pour an appropriate amount of batter onto the preheated waffle iron (about 1/2 to 3/4 cup, depending on the size of your waffle iron). Close the lid and cook until the waffles are golden brown and crisp, typically 4-5 minutes.
- 4
Serve
Carefully remove the waffles from the iron and serve warm with syrup. Enjoy!
