Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Make the Chips

Cut each corn tortilla into 6 wedges. In a deep skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.

  2. 2

Once the oil is hot, add the tortilla wedges in batches, frying until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per batch.

  3. 3

Remove the chips with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with salt while still warm.

  4. 4

    Make the Salsa

Finely chop the tomatoes, onion, cilantro, and jalapeño.

  5. 5

In a bowl, combine the chopped ingredients with lime juice and salt. Mix well.

  6. 6

Adjust salt to taste and let the salsa sit for 10 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
