Sausage & Egg Ingredients

Method

Biscuit Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C).

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.

  3. 3

    Cut in Butter

Cut in the unsalted butter using a pastry cutter or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

  4. 4

    Add Milk

Stir in the milk until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

  5. 5

    Shape Biscuits

Turn the dough onto a floured surface and pat it to about 1-inch thick. Use a biscuit cutter to cut out biscuits.

  6. 6

    Bake Biscuits

Place the biscuits on a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.

Sausage & Egg Preparation

  1. 7

    Cook Sausage

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the breakfast sausage until browned and cooked through, breaking it into crumbles as it cooks.

  2. 8

    Whisk Eggs

In a bowl, whisk together the large eggs and black pepper until well combined.

  3. 9

    Cook Eggs

In the same skillet with the sausage, pour in the eggs. Stir gently until the eggs are cooked to your liking.

  4. 10

    Add Cheese

Sprinkle cheddar cheese over the scrambled eggs and sausage, allowing it to melt slightly.

Assembly

  1. 11

    Assemble Biscuit Sandwiches

Slice the biscuits in half, then spoon the sausage and egg mixture onto the bottom half of each biscuit. Top with the other half of the biscuit.
