Method

Pimento Cheese Preparation

  1. 1

    Make the Pimento Cheese Spread

In a medium mixing bowl, combine the sharp cheddar cheese, cream cheese, diced pimentos, garlic powder, onion powder, hot sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until creamy and smooth. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Burger Preparation

  1. 2

    Form the Patties

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape them into burger patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each.

  2. 3

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.

Assembly

  1. 4

    Assemble the Burger

Toast the burger buns lightly on the grill or in a toaster. Place a cooked burger patty on the bottom half of each bun, add a generous scoop of pimento cheese spread on top, followed by a lettuce leaf and a slice of tomato. Top with the other half of the bun.
