Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Beef Patties

In a mixing bowl, season the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Form the beef into two equal patties, about 1/2 inch thick.

  2. 2

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon strips until crispy. Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess fat.

  3. 3

    Cook the Beef Patties

In the same skillet, add the beef patties and cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side. Flip the patties and add a slice of American cheese on top of each. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese melts.

  4. 4

    Toast the Buns

While the cheese is melting, slice the brioche buns and toast them in the skillet until golden brown.

Egg Preparation

  1. 5

    Fry the Eggs

In another skillet, add a little oil or butter over medium heat. Crack an egg into the skillet and fry until the whites are set but the yolk is still runny, about 2-3 minutes. Repeat with the second egg.

Assembly

  1. 6

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, spread 1 tablespoon of pepper jam. Place a cheese-topped beef patty on top, followed by two bacon strips and a fried egg. Cover with the top half of the bun.
