Method

Biscuits

  1. 1

    Prepare the Dough

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). In a large bowl, mix together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the unsalted butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in the milk until just combined.

  2. 2

    Bake the Biscuits

Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and gently knead it a few times. Roll or pat out to about 1-inch thick. Cut with a biscuit cutter and place on a baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.

Breakfast Potatoes

  1. 3

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and dice the potatoes into small cubes. In a bowl, toss the diced potatoes with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and paprika until evenly coated.

  2. 4

    Cook the Potatoes

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add the potatoes and cook for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are golden and crispy.

Scrambled Eggs

  1. 5

    Whisk the Eggs

In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

  2. 6

    Cook the Eggs

In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Pour in the egg mixture and gently scramble the eggs until they are just set but still creamy, about 3-4 minutes.

Breakfast Gravy

  1. 7

    Cook the Sausage

In a saucepan over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned and fully cooked, breaking it apart as it cooks.

  2. 8

    Make the Gravy

Sprinkle the flour over the cooked sausage and stir to combine. Gradually add the milk, stirring constantly until the gravy thickens. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Assembly

  1. 9

    Assemble the Dish

To serve, split the biscuits in half and place them on a plate. Layer with the cooked breakfast potatoes, topped with scrambled eggs, and generously ladle the breakfast gravy over everything.
