Fries

Method

Preparation of Fries

  1. 1

    Fry the Potatoes

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  2. 2

    Cook the Fries

Carefully add the frozen French fries to the hot oil in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pot. Fry for about 4-5 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

  3. 3

    Drain the Fries

Using a slotted spoon, remove the fries from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Season with salt to taste.

Assembly

  1. 4

    Layer the Fries

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Spread the fried potatoes evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  2. 5

    Add Cheese and Bacon

Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese generously over the fries followed by the crumbled bacon.

  3. 6

    Bake

Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  4. 7

    Garnish and Serve

Remove the loaded fries from the oven. Top with chopped green onions and a dollop of sour cream before serving.
