Burger Patty Preparation

Prepare the Patty
In a mixing bowl, combine the Angus beef with salt and black pepper.

Form the Patty
Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties, about ¾ inch thick.

Melt the Cheese
In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover to melt.
Sauce Preparation

Make the Rooftop Sauce
In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, and hot sauce. Mix well until smooth.

Prepare the Vegetables
Wash and dry the lettuce. Slice the tomato and onion into thin rings.
Burger Assembly

Assemble the Burger
On the bottom half of each burger bun, place a layer of lettuce, followed by the cooked patty with melted cheese, tomato slices, onion rings, and a generous drizzle of rooftop sauce. Top with the other half of the bun.
