Method
Brownie Preparation
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- 2
Melt the Butter
In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Remove from heat once melted and let it cool slightly.
- 3
Mix Sugars and Eggs
Add granulated sugar and brown sugar to the melted butter, mix until well combined. Then, add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
- 4
Combine Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, and salt until evenly combined.
- 5
Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients
Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Be careful not to overmix. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
- 6
Bake the Brownies
Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- 7
Cool the Brownies
Remove from the oven and let the brownies cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Then, transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Serving Preparation
- 8
Serve the Brownies
Cut the cooled brownies into squares and place them on serving plates.
- 9
Add Ice Cream
Top each brownie with a scoop of ice cream.
- 10
Garnish
Drizzle chocolate syrup over the ice cream and add whipped cream on top if desired.
