Cheese Balls
Method
Preparation
- 1
Cut Cheese
Cut the pepper jack cheese into small cubes, about 1 inch in size.
- 2
Frying
- 3
Heat Oil
In a deep frying pan, heat the oil over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C). You can test the oil by dropping a small piece of cheese or breadcrumb into it; if it sizzles, the oil is ready.
- 4
Coat Cheese Cubes
Take each cube of cheese and coat it in flour, then dip it into the beaten eggs, and finally roll it in the breadcrumb mixture until fully coated.
- 5
Fry Cheese Balls
Carefully place the coated cheese balls into the hot oil in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown, turning occasionally.
- 6
Drain Excess Oil
Using a slotted spoon, remove the cheese balls from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil.
