Method

Prepare the Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Season the Meat

In a bowl, combine the ground beef (or chicken) with salt and black pepper. Mix well to ensure the seasonings are evenly distributed.

  2. 2

    Form the Patty

Shape the seasoned meat into two equal-sized patties, about 3/4 inch thick.

Cook the Burger

  1. 3

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy. Remove and set aside on paper towels to drain excess grease.

  2. 4

    Cook the Patty

In the same skillet or on a grill, cook the burger patties over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired doneness. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty to melt.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 5

    Prepare the Bun

Lightly toast the burger buns on the grill or in the toaster until golden brown.

  2. 6

    Layer the Ingredients

On the bottom half of each bun, spread 2 tablespoons of BBQ sauce. Place the cooked burger patty with melted cheese on top, then add the crispy bacon, lettuce leaf, tomato slice, pickles, and an onion ring.

  3. 7

    Complete the Burger

Top with the other half of the bun and press down gently to secure. Repeat for the second burger.
