Preparing the Coffee Mixture

  1. 1

    Brew Coffee

Brew 1 cup of strong coffee and let it cool to room temperature.

  2. 2

    Mix Coffee and Liqueur

In a shallow dish, combine the brewed coffee and coffee liqueur. Set aside.

Making the Mascarpone Filling

  1. 3

    Beat Egg Yolks

In a large mixing bowl, beat the 4 egg yolks until they are pale and thick.

  2. 4

    Add Sugar and Vanilla

Add 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract to the egg yolks, and mix until combined.

  3. 5

    Fold in Mascarpone

Gently fold in 16 oz of mascarpone cheese until smooth and creamy.

  4. 6

    Whip Heavy Cream

In a separate mixing bowl, whip 1 cup of heavy cream until stiff peaks form.

  5. 7

    Combine Mixtures

Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until fully incorporated.

Assembling the Tiramisu

  1. 8

    Dip Ladyfingers

Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, ensuring they are soaked but not falling apart.

  2. 9

    Layer Ladyfingers

Arrange a layer of soaked ladyfingers in the bottom of a 9x13 inch dish.

  3. 10

    Spread Mascarpone Filling

Spread half of the mascarpone filling over the layer of ladyfingers.

  4. 11

    Repeat Layers

Add another layer of soaked ladyfingers followed by the remaining mascarpone filling.

  5. 12

    Chill

Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
