Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Generously season both sides of the ribeye steaks with salt and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Cook the Steak

Heat olive oil in a grill pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steaks. Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness.

  3. 3

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steaks from the pan and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Fries Preparation

  1. 4

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel the russet potatoes and cut them into thin strips (about 1/4 inch thick).

  2. 5

    Soak the Potatoes

Soak the potato strips in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch. Drain and pat dry with paper towels.

  3. 6

    Heat the Oil

In a deep fryer or large pot, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

  4. 7

    Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the potato strips to the hot oil in batches. Fry for 3-4 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  5. 8

    Season the Fries

While the fries are still hot, sprinkle with salt to taste.

Garlic Butter Preparation

  1. 9

    Melt the Butter

In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter.

  2. 10

    Add Garlic and Parsley

Add minced garlic cloves and chopped parsley to the melted butter and cook for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.

  3. 11

    Finish the Garlic Butter

Stir in lemon juice and remove from heat.
