Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Jalapeños

Slice the medium jalapeño in half lengthwise and remove the seeds for a milder flavor. If you prefer a spicier drink, leave some seeds in or use more jalapeño.

  2. 2

    Muddle the Jalapeño

In a cocktail shaker, add the sliced jalapeño. Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to gently press the jalapeño pieces to release their flavor. Be careful not to over-muddle, as this can make the drink too spicy.

Mixing the Drink

  1. 3

    Combine Ingredients

In the shaker with the muddled jalapeño, pour in the Milagro Silver tequila, triple sec, blood orange purée, fresh lime juice, fresh lemon juice, and agave syrup.

  2. 4

    Shake the Mixture

Add ice to the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well mixed and chilled.

Rimming the Glass

  1. 5

    Prepare the Glass

Take a chilled glass and rub a lime wedge around the rim. This will help the Tajin seasoning stick.

  2. 6

    Apply the Tajin Rim

Dip the rim of the glass into a plate of Tajin seasoning, ensuring an even coating.

Serving the Drink

  1. 7

    Strain and Pour

Using a strainer, pour the mixed drink into the prepared glass filled with ice.

  2. 8

    Garnish

Optionally, garnish with a slice of jalapeño or an additional lime wedge on the rim of the glass.

  3. 9

    Serve

Serve immediately and enjoy your Roof-A-Rita!
