Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

Combine Wet Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, melted unsalted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth and fully incorporated.
Combine and Cook

Mix Wet and Dry Ingredients
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently fold until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; some lumps are okay.

Heat the Pan
Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Lightly grease with butter or cooking spray.

Cook the Pancakes
Pour about 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake onto the skillet. Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the edges look set, about 2-3 minutes. Flip and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
