Method

Prepare the Dry Ingredients

  1. 1

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

Prepare the Wet Ingredients

  1. 2

    Combine Wet Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, melted unsalted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth and fully incorporated.

Combine and Cook

  1. 3

    Mix Wet and Dry Ingredients

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently fold until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; some lumps are okay.

  2. 4

    Heat the Pan

Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Lightly grease with butter or cooking spray.

  3. 5

    Cook the Pancakes

Pour about 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake onto the skillet. Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the edges look set, about 2-3 minutes. Flip and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until golden brown.

Serve

  1. 6

    Serve with Toppings

Serve the pancakes warm, drizzled with maple syrup and topped with fresh berries to taste.
