Flatbread

Meat and Toppings

Method

Preparation of Jalapeno Aioli

  1. 1

    Make the Aioli

In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, minced garlic, lime juice, salt, pepper, and finely chopped jalapeno. Mix well until smooth and set aside.

Cooking the Beef and Bacon

  1. 2

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy. Remove from the skillet and drain on paper towels. Once cooled, chop into small pieces.

  2. 3

    Cook the Ground Beef

In the same skillet, drain some of the bacon fat if necessary, retaining about 1 tablespoon. Add the ground beef and cook over medium heat until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat and set aside.

Assembling the Flatbread

  1. 4

    Prepare the Flatbreads

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the flatbreads on a baking sheet. Brush lightly with olive oil and spread BBQ sauce evenly over each piece.

  2. 5

    Add Toppings

Evenly distribute the cooked ground beef over the BBQ-sauced flatbreads. Sprinkle crispy bacon pieces on top, followed by shredded smoked gouda cheese.

  3. 6

    Bake the Flatbreads

Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Finishing Touches

  1. 7

Add Green Onions and Jalapeno Aioli

Once the flatbreads are out of the oven, slice the green onions and sprinkle them on top. Drizzle with jalapeno aioli before serving.
