Method

Preparation

1

For Hot Americano

Start by boiling water in a kettle.

2

Measure 2 tablespoons of coffee grounds and place them in a French press or coffee maker.

3

Once the water reaches a boil, let it cool for about 30 seconds (around 200°F or 93°C is ideal).

4

Pour the hot water over the coffee grounds, ensuring they are fully saturated.

5

Let the coffee steep for about 4 minutes.

6

After steeping, press the plunger down slowly (if using a French press) or let the coffee drip through (if using a coffee maker).

7

Pour the brewed coffee into a cup, and add hot water to dilute it to your desired strength, typically equal parts coffee to water.
