Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Season the steak with salt, black pepper, and 1 tablespoon of Cajun seasoning. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Cook the Rice

Rinse the long grain white rice under cold water until the water runs clear. In a pot, combine the rinsed rice and 4 cups of water. Bring to a boil, cover, and reduce heat to low. Cook for 18 minutes or until the water is absorbed. Remove from heat and let it sit covered for another 5 minutes, then fluff with a fork.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Cook the Steak

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated steak and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side or until it reaches your desired doneness. Remove from the skillet and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing into thin strips.

  2. 4

    Sauté Vegetables

In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Add diced onion, bell pepper, and minced garlic. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes until they are softened. Add the frozen peas and cook for another 2 minutes.

  3. 5

    Combine Rice with Vegetables

Add the cooked rice to the skillet with the sautéed vegetables. Stir in the remaining tablespoon of Cajun seasoning and mix well to combine.

  4. 6

    Add Steak and Optional Ingredients

Fold in the sliced steak into the fried rice mixture. If desired, drizzle with soy sauce and Sriracha, mixing to coat evenly.

Serving

  1. 7

    Serve the Dish

Taste and adjust seasoning with additional Cajun seasoning, salt, or Sriracha as needed. Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions.
