Snow Crab Legs

Method

Preparing Snow Crab Legs

  1. 1

    Thawing (if necessary)

If the snow crab legs are frozen, place them in the refrigerator for 8-12 hours to thaw them completely.

  2. 2

    Boiling

Fill a large pot with water, add a pinch of salt, and bring it to a rolling boil. Once boiling, add the thawed snow crab legs. Boil for 5-7 minutes, ensuring the legs are heated thoroughly.

  3. 3

    Steaming (optional)

Alternatively, place the crab legs in a steamer basket over boiling water and steam for 6-8 minutes.

  4. 4

    Serving

Remove the crab legs from the pot or steamer, and let them cool for a minute. Serve hot with the dipping sauces.

Preparing Dipping Sauces

  1. 5

    Drawn Butter

Melt 1 cup of butter in a saucepan over low heat until it becomes liquid. Keep warm for serving.

  2. 6

    Garlic Butter

Melt 1 cup of butter and stir in 2-3 cloves of minced garlic. Heat on low for 2-3 minutes, then remove from heat.

  3. 7

    Lemon Garlic Aioli

In a bowl, mix 1 cup of mayonnaise, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, 1 minced garlic clove, and salt to taste. Stir until combined.

  4. 8

    Spicy Cocktail Sauce

Combine 1 cup of ketchup, 2 tablespoons of horseradish, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, and hot sauce to taste in a bowl. Mix well.

  5. 9

    Mango Salsa

Chop 1 ripe mango, 1/2 red onion, and 1/2 jalapeño. In a bowl, combine with the juice of 1 lime and a pinch of salt.

  6. 10

    Soy Sauce with Wasabi

In a small bowl, mix 1 cup of soy sauce with a teaspoon of wasabi paste. Stir until fully combined.
