Preparing the Crab Legs

Thaw the Crab Legs
If your snow crab legs are frozen, place them in the refrigerator for 8 hours or overnight. Alternatively, you can submerge them in cold water for about 30-45 minutes until thawed.

Prepare the Cooking Method
You can either steam, boil, or bake the crab legs. For this recipe, we will steam them.

Fill a large pot with about 1-2 inches of water and place a steaming basket or rack inside. Make sure the water level is below the basket. Bring the water to a boil over high heat.

Place the Crab Legs in the Steamer
Once the water is boiling, carefully place the thawed snow crab legs in the steamer basket. Cover the pot with a lid.

Steam the Crab Legs
Steam the crab legs for about 5-7 minutes until they are heated through.
