Shrimp Preparation

Boil the Shrimp
In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil. Add 1 tablespoon of salt and the whole lemon (squeezed and dropped in the pot).

Cook the Shrimp
Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the boiling water. Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.

Drain and Dry
Once cooled, drain the shrimp and pat them dry with paper towels. Set aside in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
Cocktail Sauce Preparation

Mix Ingredients
In a medium bowl, combine 1 cup of ketchup, 2 tablespoons of horseradish, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce, and 1 teaspoon of hot sauce.

Season the Sauce
Stir the mixture well and add salt to taste. Adjust the horseradish and hot sauce according to your heat preference.

Chill the Sauce
Cover the cocktail sauce and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld.
