Broth
Seafood and Vegetables
Method
Prepare the Broth
- 1
Combine Ingredients
In a large pot, combine water, fish sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, sriracha sauce, grated ginger, minced garlic, and red chili flakes. Stir well to mix all the ingredients.
- 2
Bring to a Boil
Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce heat to low and let it simmer for about 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- 3
Finish the Broth
Stir in the lime juice and taste the broth, adjusting seasoning with more salt or sugar if needed.
Cook the Seafood and Vegetables
- 4
Add Cabbage
Add the shredded cabbage to the pot and let it cook for about 5 minutes until it starts to soften.
- 5
Add Seafood
Add the mussels, shrimp, and clams to the pot. Cover and cook for another 5-7 minutes, or until the mussels and clams have opened and the shrimp is cooked through.
- 6
Add Tofu
Gently stir in the cubed tofu and cook for an additional 2 minutes to heat through.
- 7
Garnish
Remove from heat, and garnish with chopped green onions and cilantro before serving.
