Pasta

Method

Cooking the Pasta

  1. 1

    Boil the Linguine

In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add a generous amount of salt to the boiling water. Once boiling, add the linguine and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.

  2. 2

    Drain the Pasta

Once the linguine is cooked, reserve about 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the rest using a colander. Set the drained pasta aside.

Making the Sauce

  1. 3

    Prepare the Garlic Butter Sauce

In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil and the unsalted butter. Once the butter has melted, add the minced garlic. Sauté for about 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently, until the garlic is fragrant and lightly golden.

  2. 4

    Combine Pasta with Sauce

Add the drained linguine to the skillet with the garlic butter sauce. Toss to coat the pasta evenly. If the sauce is too thick, gradually add reserved pasta water until the desired consistency is reached.

  3. 5

    Season the Noodles

Season the noodles with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley until evenly distributed.

Serving

  1. 6

    Plate the Dish

Serve the garlic noodles warm in large bowls or platters. Optionally, garnish with additional grated Parmesan cheese and parsley for an appealing presentation.
