Fish Preparation

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Clean the Snapper

Begin by cleaning the whole yellowtail snapper. Rinse it under cold water and remove any scales. Pat dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Season the Fish

Rub the entire fish with salt and black pepper, making sure to season the inside cavity as well.

  3. 3

    Stuff the Fish

Stuff the cavity of the fish with lemon slices and half of the fresh herbs (parsley and thyme).

Herb Mixture

  1. 4

    Prepare the Herb Mixture

In a small bowl, combine the chopped parsley, thyme, minced garlic, and olive oil. Mix well to form a paste.

  2. 5

    Apply the Mixture

Spread the herb mixture evenly over the outside of the fish.

Cooking

  1. 6

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. 7

    Bake the Fish

Place the snapper in a baking dish. Drizzle with lemon juice and white wine. Dot with butter on top of the fish.

  3. 8

    Cook Time

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.

  4. 9

    Garnish and Serve

Once cooked, remove from the oven, garnish with additional fresh herbs if desired, and serve immediately.
