Method

Prepare the Octopus

  1. 1

    Cook the Octopus

In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add the octopus and cook for about 30-40 minutes until tender. Drain and let cool.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Octopus

Once cooled, chop the octopus into bite-sized pieces. In a bowl, mix olive oil, minced garlic, lime juice, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Add the octopus and marinate for at least 30 minutes.

Make the Salsa

  1. 3

    Prepare the Ingredients

Dice the tomatoes, red onion, and jalapeño. Chop the cilantro finely.

  2. 4

    Mix the Salsa

In a bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, red onion, jalapeño, cilantro, lime juice, and salt. Mix well and set aside.

Assemble the Tacos

  1. 5

    Warm the Tortillas

Heat the corn tortillas on a skillet over medium heat until warm and pliable.

  2. 6

    Add the Filling

Place a generous amount of the marinated octopus in the center of each tortilla.

  3. 7

Top with Salsa and Other Ingredients

Add a spoonful of salsa, crumbled queso fresco, and sliced avocado on top of the octopus.

  4. 8

    Serve

Fold the tortillas over the filling and serve immediately with lime wedges on the side.
