Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare Watermelon Juice

Cut the fresh watermelon into chunks and place them in a blender. Blend until smooth. Use a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth to strain the juice into a bowl, discarding the pulp. You should have approximately 4 cups of fresh watermelon juice.

  2. 2

    Mix the Ingredients

In a cocktail shaker, combine 1.5 cups of vodka, 0.5 cups of simple syrup, and 0.25 cups of fresh lime juice. Add 4 cups of the freshly pressed watermelon juice to the shaker.

  3. 3

    Add Mint and Ice

Gently add 10 fresh mint leaves to the shaker. Fill the shaker with 2 cups of ice cubes to chill the mixture.

  4. 4

    Shake it Up

Secure the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds until well mixed and chilled.

  5. 5

    Serve

Strain the mixture into chilled martini glasses. Garnish each drink with a slice of watermelon on the rim of the glass and a mint leaf if desired.
