Method

Fish Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare the Snapper

Rinse the whole snapper under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.

  3. 3

    Season the Snapper

In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Rub this mixture all over the snapper, including inside the cavity.

  4. 4

    Stuff the Snapper

Place lemon slices and fresh herbs inside the cavity of the fish for added flavor.

Cooking the Snapper

  1. 5

    Bake the Snapper

Place the seasoned snapper on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

Vegetable Garnish

  1. 6

    Prepare Vegetables

While the fish is baking, slice cherry tomatoes, red onion, bell pepper, and cucumber into bite-sized pieces. Combine them in a bowl and set aside.

Cooking Rice

  1. 7

    Cook the Rice

In a medium saucepan, combine rice, water, and salt. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until rice is tender and water is absorbed.

Serving

  1. 8

    Plate the Dish

Once the snapper is done, remove it from the oven. Serve the baked snapper on a large platter, accompanied by the fresh vegetable garnish and a side of rice.
