Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Potatoes

Begin by washing the creamer potatoes thoroughly under cold water to remove any dirt. If needed, scrub them gently with a vegetable brush.

  2. 2

    Boil the Potatoes

Place the cleaned potatoes in a large pot and cover them with water. Add a pinch of salt. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat and then reduce to a simmer. Cook for about 15-20 minutes, or until the potatoes are fork-tender.

  3. 3

    Drain and Cool

Once the potatoes are cooked, drain them in a colander and let them cool for about 5 minutes. This will make them easier to handle.

  4. 4

    Preheat the Oven

While the potatoes are cooling, preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

  5. 5

    Smash the Potatoes

On a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, arrange the cooled potatoes. Use a potato masher or the bottom of a glass to gently smash each potato until they are flattened but still intact.

  6. 6

    Season the Potatoes

Drizzle the smashed potatoes with olive oil, and then sprinkle with sea salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and fresh rosemary, ensuring they are evenly coated.

  7. 7

    Bake the Potatoes

Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are crispy and golden brown.

  8. 8

    Serve

Remove the potatoes from the oven and allow them to cool for a minute. Serve warm as a delicious side dish.
