Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Clean the Seafood

Thoroughly rinse the oysters, shrimp, clams, and mussels under cold running water. Scrub the shells of the clams and mussels with a brush to remove any grit or sand.

  2. 2

    Set Up the Platter

Arrange the cleaned oysters on one side of a large platter, followed by the shrimp, clams, and mussels. Ensure that the seafood is neatly presented for serving.

Cooking Mussels Verde

  1. 3

    Prepare the Sauce

In a large pot over medium heat, add the olive oil. Once heated, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.

  2. 4

    Add Ingredients to Pot

Stir in the chopped parsley, lemon juice, white wine, salt, and black pepper. Bring the mixture to a simmer.

  3. 5

    Cook the Mussels

Add the cleaned mussels to the pot, cover with a lid, and cook for 5-7 minutes or until the mussels have opened. Discard any mussels that remain closed.

  4. 6

    Combine with Seafood Platter

Once cooked, carefully remove the mussels from the pot and arrange them on the seafood platter, drizzling some of the verde sauce over them.

Final Touches

  1. 7

    Garnish the Platter

Add lemon wedges and fresh parsley sprigs to the platter for garnish.

  2. 8

    Serve Immediately

Serve the seafood platter immediately with additional lemon wedges on the side and a small bowl for the mussels verde sauce.
