Prepare the Patties
In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Mix until just combined and form into two equal patties.

Add Cheese
During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover to melt the cheese.

Toast the Buns
While the patties are cooking, lightly toast the brioche buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

Assemble the Burger
Place the cooked patty on the bottom half of the bun. If using, add the cooked bacon slices before placing the top half of the bun.
Yuca Frite

Prepare the Yuca
Peel the yuca and cut it into thick strips, similar to French fries.

Boil the Yuca
In a pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the yuca strips and cook for about 20-25 minutes or until tender. Drain and let cool.

Fry the Yuca
In a deep pot, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Fry the cooled yuca strips in batches for 4-5 minutes or until golden and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Season the Yuca
Sprinkle the fried yuca with salt to taste.
