For the Beer-Battered Flounder

Prepare the Batter
In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and black pepper. Gradually add the beer, mixing until smooth.

Heat the Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

Fry the Fish
Dip the flounder fillets into the batter, then carefully place them in the hot oil. Fry until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.
For the Apple Cider Slaw

Mix the Slaw
In a large bowl, combine shredded cabbage and carrot. In a separate bowl, whisk together apple cider vinegar, mayonnaise, honey, salt, and black pepper. Pour the dressing over the cabbage mixture and toss to combine. Refrigerate until serving.
For the Tartar Sauce

Combine Ingredients
In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, dill pickle relish, lemon juice, capers (if using), salt, and black pepper. Refrigerate until serving.
