Method

Preparing the Sticky Rice

  1. 1

    Soak the Rice

Rinse the sweet sticky rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Soak it in water for at least 4 hours or overnight for best results.

  2. 2

    Cook the Rice

Drain the soaked rice and place it in a steamer lined with cheesecloth. Steam the rice over boiling water for about 25-30 minutes, or until it becomes translucent and tender.

  3. 3

    Season the Rice

Once cooked, transfer the rice to a large bowl. Sprinkle with salt and mix gently. Cover the rice to keep it warm.

Making the Coconut Sauce

  1. 4

    Combine Ingredients

In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the coconut milk, sugar, and a pinch of salt. Stir until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture is heated through, but do not bring it to a boil.

Preparing the Peaches

  1. 5

    Slice the Peaches

Wash and slice the fresh peaches into wedges, removing the pit.

  2. 6

    Glaze the Peaches

In a bowl, mix the sliced peaches with honey and lemon juice to coat evenly. Let them sit for about 10 minutes to marinate.

Assembling the Dish

  1. 7

    Serve

To serve, place a portion of sticky rice on a plate, drizzle with the coconut sauce, and top with the glazed peaches. Enjoy warm!
