Dumpling Wrappers

For Cooking

Method

Make Dumpling Wrappers

  1. 1

    Prepare the Dough

In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt. Gradually add water and knead until a smooth dough forms. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Roll Out the Wrappers

After resting, divide the dough into small pieces. Roll each piece into a thin circle about 3 inches in diameter. Keep the wrappers covered with a damp cloth to prevent drying.

Prepare the Filling

  1. 3

    Mix Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine ground pork, chopped green onions, minced garlic, minced ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until well combined.

Assemble the Dumplings

  1. 4

    Fill the Wrappers

Take a dumpling wrapper and place about 1 tablespoon of filling in the center. Moisten the edges with water, fold the wrapper in half, and pinch the edges tightly to seal. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.

Cook the Dumplings

  1. 5

    Deep-fry or Steam

To deep-fry, heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat. Fry dumplings until golden brown on both sides, about 4-5 minutes. Alternatively, for steaming, place dumplings in a steamer basket and steam for about 15 minutes or until cooked through.

  2. 6

    Serve

Serve hot with soy sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
