Fried Rolls
Method
Preparation of Filling
- 1
Prepare the Bananas
Peel the ripe bananas and cut them into halves or quarters lengthwise, depending on the size.
- 2
Prepare the Chocolate Syrup
In a small bowl, pour the chocolate syrup and set aside for drizzling later.
Assembling the Rolls
- 3
Fill the Spring Roll Wrappers
Take a spring roll wrapper and place it on a clean surface with one corner pointing towards you. Place a piece of banana in the center of the wrapper. Drizzle a small amount of chocolate syrup over the banana.
- 4
Roll the Wrapper
Fold the bottom corner of the wrapper over the banana, then fold the sides inward. Roll up tightly to enclose the filling. Use a bit of water to seal the top corner of the wrapper.
Frying the Rolls
- 5
Heat the Oil
In a deep frying pan, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches around 350°F (175°C).
- 6
Fry the Rolls
Carefully place the assembled banana rolls into the hot oil, a few at a time, and fry until they are golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- 7
Drain and Cool
Once cooked, remove the rolls from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
Serving
- 8
Plate the Rolls
Arrange the fried banana rolls on a serving plate.
- 9
Add Condensed Milk
Drizzle sweetened condensed milk generously over the top of the rolls.
- 10
Final Touch
Finish with additional chocolate syrup drizzled on top for extra sweetness, if desired.
