Method

Dough Preparation

  1. 1

    Activate Yeast

In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour and salt. Mix well.

  3. 3

    Combine Ingredients

Add the yeast mixture and olive oil to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.

  4. 4

    Knead Dough

Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  5. 5

    Let Dough Rise

Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

Topping Preparation

  1. 6

    Prepare Toppings

While the dough is rising, prepare the toppings by mixing minced garlic, fresh rosemary, and sea salt in a bowl.

  2. 7

    Prepare Baking Sheet

Preheat the oven to 450°F (232°C) and lightly grease a baking sheet with olive oil.

Baking

  1. 8

    Shape the Dough

Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface into a rectangular shape about 1/4 inch thick.

  2. 9

    Add Toppings

Transfer the rolled dough to the prepared baking sheet. Brush the surface with olive oil and evenly sprinkle the garlic-rosemary mixture on top.

  3. 10

    Bake Flatbread

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

  4. 11

    Cool and Serve

Remove from oven, let cool slightly, cut into pieces, and serve warm.
