Method

Brownie Batter Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.

  2. 2

    Melt the Butter

In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Once melted, remove from heat and let cool slightly.

  3. 3

    Mix Sugars and Eggs

In a large bowl, combine the granulated sugar and brown sugar with the melted butter. Stir until well combined. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

  4. 4

    Combine Dry Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, and salt.

  5. 5

    Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

  6. 6

    Add Chocolate Chips

Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the batter.

  7. 7

    Bake the Brownies

Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

  8. 8

    Cool the Brownies

Once baked, remove the brownies from the oven and allow them to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Then, transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before cutting into squares.

Serving Instructions

  1. 9

    Serve the Brownies

Cut the cooled brownies into squares and serve them warm topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
