Preparing the Chicken Wings

Clean the Chicken Wings
Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.

Season the Wings
In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Toss the chicken wings in the flour mixture until they are well coated.

Prepare for Frying
Heat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or a large heavy-bottomed pot to 375°F (190°C).

Fry the Wings
Carefully add the wings to the hot oil in batches, being careful not to overcrowd the pot. Fry for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

Drain the Wings
Use a slotted spoon to transfer the cooked wings to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
Preparing the Sauce (Optional)

Melt the Sauce Ingredients
In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Add hot sauce, honey, and soy sauce. Stir until well combined and heated through.
Tossing the Wings

Toss in Sauce
If using the sauce, place the fried wings in a large bowl and pour the sauce over them. Toss until the wings are evenly coated.

Transfer the wings to a serving platter and enjoy while hot!
